Parish Vestry

The Rector, Wardens and Vestry together comprise the governing body of the parish, under both civil and canon law. Wardens and Vestry members are elected by the full parish at its annual meeting, held at the Church of the Transfiguration on the Second Sunday in Advent, although vacancies occurring between parish meetings may be filled by the Vestry. The Wardens are elected for alternate two-year terms, and nine Vestry members are elected for staggered three-year terms. The Wardens and Vestry members serve the parish without compensation. The next annual parish meeting and election will be held on the Second Sunday of Advent, December 9, 2012, following the Solemn Mass. Click here to read the parish by-laws.
